Today’s workplace is a challenging and competitive environment. Employees face increased workloads, less time to complete tasks, and more demanding expectations from their supervisors.
Jaipuria School of Business organized a Guest Lecture on “Contemporary Scenario and HR Challenges” on June 12, 2021 (Saturday), which Mr. Rakesh Arora headed.
He explained the “Business Excellence Model,” in which he gave a detailed explanation of the model steps. He said, “It is always necessary to give back to the society as much we could effort. The three important steps of the model are people result, customer results, and society results.”
Mr. Rakesh Arora also enlightens on some facts and figures about us, which says that we have only 14% of freshers available for employment. More than 60% of freshers even don’t know how to prepare their resume.
He also emphasized some misconceptions of the students that they need to focus on. He said, “Degree is the not most important requirement; in fact, you need to deliver to the organization as you enter it.” He guided students to overcome these misconceptions and focus on techniques to be successful.
The lecture was very motivating for students, where they learned essential aspects they can do to be successful in university and campus placement.
Jaipuria School of Business highlights the advanced learning of students through experience and caters to this idea through workshops and seminars.

He also explained that the concept of “Alternative Workplace” is now coming into picture as there is a gradual shift from traditional working to flexible and anywhere working. This has resulted in a change of ecosystem, so the workforce is now “redefined” and the companies are recalibrating expectation and skills. He also added that the EXISTING ROLES of trainees, contracts, etc. are now converting into EMERGING ROLES of virtual working, flextime, work onsite, GIGs, freelancing, etc. and this new workforce is constituting 15% of the total one and this figure would subsequently rise.
