The mind is a powerful thing. It can make you do something you never thought possible or hold you back from achieving your dreams. If we take control of the mind and learn how to use it positively, anything is possible.
Under the aegis of the learning pillar, BHAVNA Jaipuria School of Business conducted a session on ‘Learn how to take control of your mind’.
Akshara Seth conducted the session, Founder ‘Your Next Move’, on 30th January 2021.
In the session, Akshara Seth shared a few practical tips to take charge of one’s mindset and control thoughts. The session was organized to let students explore the power of the mind!
The session elaborately focused on why taking control of the mind is vital for success in life and business!
During the session, Ms Seth talked about how the mind is the most powerful tool we humans possess. It controls everything that happens in our lives, and it has the power to make us happy or miserable. If you are not satisfied with your life, then take control of your mind by using the following steps:
1) Spend time meditating every day. Meditating will help you clear your mind and focus on what is essential in life.
2) Do something every day that makes you feel good about yourself. This could be anything from volunteering at a homeless shelter to playing with your dog for 30 minutes each day.
3) Always try to see the positive side of things rather than dwelling on negative thoughts or feelings. You can do this by practising gratitude – every night, write down three things you are grateful for.
The session ended with the students asking questions which Ms Seth answered in detail. The session was very much insightful and helped us to take control of our mindset! The huge presence of students and teachers in the session actively reflected the enthusiasm and passion of individuals in attaining a developmental perspective and align it in the best possible way for growth!
Jaipuria School of Business focuses on the overall development of students over merely imparting them PGDM degrees. At JSB, the objective is to prepare students as professionals who are also humans beings with ethical values!
